I had to take a short trip to Paris this week and came back sick, with a sore throat and a bad cold. However that didn’t stop me from bringing back the most perfect macarons ever for Hubs! Hehe!
Wish I could make them like Shipa did here!
Nb. There are only 4 macarons in the photo because we ate them all before I could take a photo!
Hi, it's my first time here and I'm loving it..
ReplyDeleteHmm. I've never been impressed with any of the macarons I've ever eaten.
ReplyDeleteYou better take care and stop eating those macarons!!! (so I could have them) :D
ReplyDeleteI too miss shilpa. loved the macarons. looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteHi Sunita, thanks for dropping by.
ReplyDeleteWanderingC: Keep eating those macarons - you'll find one you like sometime ;-) I love them!
Tigerfish: Yep - I need to stop eating period. The diet for summer is going down the drain!
Sharmi: Yeah, when's Shilpa coming back?
hmm..never teste it before, it's looks real nice.
ReplyDeleteget well soon yah
I don't think I have had macarons before but I read about them all the time in food blogs...perhaps I should buy them or just bake them? ;)
ReplyDeletevery cute :D wah my throat hurts too! :( too much activity for me too.
ReplyDeleteI Sha: Thanks! I'm getting better slowly.
ReplyDeleteRasa Malaysia: Thanks for stopping by and yes, you have to try macarons - as the Pringles ad goes "once you pop, you can't stop"! Then again, you probably can stop - after you've had so many that you feel sick from the sugar ;-)
Buddingcook: hehe - how does the saying go? "feed a cold, starve a fever"? Or is it the other way around? either way, you should maybe eat more! hehe!
Hello dear!! You have no idea how flattered I am, but those macarons of mine weren't all that pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteTo tell you the truth, we got so annoyed baking them, they never turn out as we expected!!! We give them up for now!! : )
ReplyDeletehehehe ... I totally agree with big boys oven. I tried baking it and it never turned out looking or tasting like a macaron. I have seen it on TV how they made it and it looks so simple too ... so I wonder if there is more to it than the cooks are willing to reveal ;)
ReplyDeleteShilpa: Well, you know looks aren't everything! hehe!
ReplyDeleteBigboysoven & Cooking Ninja:
Thx for stopping by! I've never tried making macarons myself - it's always been too easy to just stop by the boulangerie on the corner! now that I've moved, I might have to start making them myself!
