The truth is finally out.
I’m not a real foodie.
I’ve just come back from a week of eating my way through the Charentes and Paris, and you know what? I didn’t take a single picture of food! Despite the big eating fests to celebrate the Hubs’ 30th birthday, I don’t have a single photo of food.

Zip. Nada. Nothing. Not a pixel.
I should hang my wok in shame.
The problem? Well, you know, after a nice glass of pineau (or two), I forget to take photos! I blame it on the French and their apéros.
Oh well.
Anyway, here’s a photo of some tomatoes ripening at my in-laws, and young grapes on the grapevine…well, it’s food!

Dear WokandSpoon,
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice introduction. Very well written.
Grapes and wine, my all time favorite. A perfect ending (or beginning) to any meals.
It's the same with me. I got all excited about my food and I forgot to take a pic of it. By the time I remembered, it was too late. I was in Paris last weekend for a wedding. :)

ReplyDeleteOh you're much more of a foodie than me! And I do know what you mean. Some people still call me a LitBlogger when I haven't posted much about literary events and book reviews for ages! And I've been out eating at so many great places lately with fantastic company... but again, no photos or write-ups to show for it.
ReplyDeleteI think it's more important for us to enjoy Real Life and blog/read about it when we have the time/feel like it.
Have a great week ahead, dear! :)
I just stumbled upon your blog this afternoon, and I'm sooo glad I did! I've just read a few of your posts, and I love your style.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that means you're not a foodie. It's hard to remember your camera when faced with such culinary delights - and in France no less!
ReplyDeleteAri (Baking and Books)
Ohfortheloveoffood: Hubs thanks you for the birthday wishes!
ReplyDeleteKenny: I agree, it's definitely more important going out and doing things rather than sitting in front of the computer all day!
Susan: Thanks for dropping by!!
Ari: Thanks also for dropping by!
